Head of Growth

What you will be doing

You will be developing and growing the growth team to find innovative ways to helping small businesses communicate and integrate with the community. You will develop and maintain relationships with our many business communities so we can continuously improve our app based upon their feedback. You will work with the Design and Research team to develop a brand that people feel trust and connect with, while promoting a healthy attitude for businesses to talk and get more involved with their community.

  • You will be our lead growth hacker: Create, Evolve and Execute a growth strategy and framework for local businesses, organizations, and partners to grow our user base.
  • Manage customer relationships and partner agencies.
  • Be responsible for planning and budgetary control of all growth marketing activities
  • Oversee a portfolio of paid search, display, social and retargeting campaigns
  • Test and continuously optimise these campaigns based upon customer feedback by using analytic tools and A-B testing
  • Whilst being a digital expert, you also have a clear understanding and experience across other channels (such as OOH)
  • By being customer focused you will truly understand our target audience and how best to reach them

 

What we are looking for in a Head of Growth

  • Minimum of 3 years experience within digital marketing in B2B markets, managing a portfolio of activity
  • Growth hacking experience with a Start-up
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field
  • Track record in growing a brand’s audience and user base
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in reporting and optimising campaigns based upon data analysis and A/B testing
  • Strong network within Marketing / Innovation / Social Media and / and Start-ups
  • Experience with agile / lean
  • Customer focused with strong strategic mindset
  • Active networker 
  • Data driven with an eye for detail
  • Team player
  • Hands on approach to work by taking ownership and initiative

Full-Stack Developer

What you will be doing

You will be developing and building the website and the web application. We want you to find innovative ways to helping small businesses communicate and integrate with the community.  You will work with the Design and Research team to create features and experiments that will help businesses and their employees communicate better and work together.

-Minimum of 3 years experience with JavaScript, Node.js, React, CSS, HTML5
-Experience managing multi-page websites for version control and local needs
-Experience with lean experiments. 
-Experience managing real-time communication web applications
-Posses a strong design aesthetic is a plus, (extra points for an online portfolio) 
-Be an effective communicator to share design and interaction requirements and work cross functionally with teams. 
-Sharing our passion for local business and entrepreneurship

-Experience with UI and UX is an added plus. 
-Experience with AWS and Firebase services. 
-Being a swiss army knife. We're a small team and if you can do more being a polyglot to step in for backend services, all the better.

iOS Developer

What you will be doing

You will develop and maintain the mobile apps which Weird Street's customers interact with everyday to communicate and collaborate with their community. These apps are the public face of Weird Street and what we repressent, and as such, they need to embody our core values - they must be fast, secure, dependable, and above all, helpful. We are mobile-first in everything we do. You will work with the Design and Research team to create features and experiments that will help businesses and their employees communicate better and work together.

We're an agile business with a clear long-term roadmap. Requirements change as we learn from how our customers interact with our product and we believe in adapting quickly and learning by doing. We are a small team of highly capable people who believe passionately in the problem we are solving, collaborate closely with direct feedback, and encourage action over deliberation.

What we are looking for in a developer

  • 2 or more years of iOS development experience. 
  • Swift and ObjC.
  • Thorough knowledge of Objective C / Swift, and recent iOS SDKs. 
  • Experience integrating with third party RESTful APIs, and associated libraries. 
  • Unit testing. 
  • A good understanding of the application development lifecycle. 
  • Experience in code reviewing. 
  • Version control with GIT.

Desirable

  • TDD / BDD.
  • UI Testing
  • Worked in an Agile / Scrum environment. 
  • Technical degree.
